I had a small bit of Ambrosia Maple left over from when I built my computer table, so when I was asked to make a box for a crafter to keep her sewing bobbins in it I instantly knew it was the perfect material to build it out of.

The inside has oak strips with semi circles cut for each of the 36 bobbins it holds to nestle in, separated with more oak strips to act as spacers. Once these were cut and glued into a single slab, it was simple to build a box around sized perfectly for the lid to shut but not enough space for the bobbins to jump out of their niches.
