Delivered about a month ago, I’ve had to keep this build a secret as it was commissioned as a birthday present and gifted today.
This was a replacement for an existing bird table that had rotted beyond repair, with a special request to add hooks at each corner to hand bird feeders from.
As normal with our oak bird tables, it’s all solid oak, with the base of the table cut from a single slab.
Finished with an oak slat roof and oak trim pieces, the table sits atop a sturdy oak post with supporting struts at the top and bottom.
Finally a finish with teak oil is all the maintenance this bird table will ever need, Over time the sun will bleach the wood to a silver grey, but it looks stunning in its golden oak colour today.
