When space is limited and you intend to grow a lot of herbs, what could be better than a wall supported stepped planter?
This was delivered unfinished as the client intend to paint, probably grey, so rust the names of the herbs can be added in white lettering as they are planted.
If you are thinking of making something similar, we figured out that cutting the side boards at 15% enabled it to lean against the wall for stability and be self supporting with no danger of slipping.
As with all our planters, it is lined with thick particular sheeting to keep the compost away from the wood, an alternative would be to keep the plants in pots. There are three drain holes along the length of each trough.
