“I want to sit on the floor and play board games” was the brief given for this project.
A fun build, using contrasting stripes of white oak and red oak, one of which fortunately had a wonderful dark grey marking giving a fantastic variety of grain patterns for added interest.
Just because this is a low table doesn’t mean we ignored the construction, with 2″ solid square legs and a full apron to support the top, produced a table which delighted the customer and (I hear) has been well used especially over the Christmas period.
The table was finished with a full french polish and wax to give a beautiful lustre which will last for years.
